Talk story about "Jukebox Saturday Night," a nostalgic look at pop music of the thirties and forties, which WNET taped before 750 invited guests. It will be telecast in March. Writer went to the Grand Hyatt Hotel to watch the taping. The m.c. was Eddie Albert. There were eight solo singers (Margaret Whiting, Helen Forrest, Keely Smith, Helen O'Connell, Betty Hutton, Jack Leonard, Bea Wain, and Herb Jeffries), one quartet (the Modernaires), and a cool jazz band (Bob Crosby's Bobcats, celebrating their 48th year in the business). Writer spoke with many of the participants, who told her what they were doing currently. Jack Leonard told about Tommy Dorsey's famous arrangement of "Marie." Bob Crosby told about the invention of "Big Noise from Winnetka," one of his great hits, which was played later.
